2014 Arts Midwest Conference

With the annual Arts Midwest Conference in the rear view mirror, it's time for some well-earned rest and relaxation. Four 12 hour days of photographing incredible performances, marketplace booking activity, professional development meetings, parties, and keynote presentations can take its toll. I might sound pooped (and I am) and happy it's over (kinda), but it was all super fun and I'm already looking forward to it happening next year in Kansas City!

I'll share my favorite image from the Conference below but be sure to check out some of my photos from the four day event on the Arts Midwest Flickr account. This image was captured at the Pantages Theater in downtown Minneapolis. Obviously, it features an incredibly badass dancer from the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company. I have appropriately titled it "Legs of Justice."

Next week I'll be at North and Tartan High School, documenting a Brazilian band, Paulo Padilha and Group, doing a workshop for high school students. On Saturday, I'm photographing their concert at the Cedar Cultural Center. Onward!
